Power to the Stinging Nettle (Part II)

Updated: Oct 18, 2022

While burning some green sage incense, sipping on a herbal stinging nettle tea from the garden, I wanted to share my personal experience in connecting with this great medicinal plant.

I want to make it clear and be honest with you, I do not consider myself as an expert on this topic, at all.

What I am is a playful soul that is curious and loves to learn and explore new things and I love to inspire others while diving into these experiences.

Therefore, I thank you all so much for reading and walking along with me on my journey here on earth.

If I look back at my first experience with the plant releasing it’s subtle pollen on a warm, cozy summer evening, I realize that the plant has a very high, fertile energy.

I sense and notice the fact that there might be little fairies living in co-creation with this plant who help it release these pollen, which have a playful, euphoric and even erotic influence upon my consciousness.

Fertility and sexuality are inseparable.

Se-x and se-xuality have been demonized in our his-story and by the church for decades, resulting in an increase of fear, guilt and shame, putting a heavy burden linked around this topic upon humans for centuries.

While this energy is so strong and powerful, a primal, life force energy.

The force of all creation and the very source of our existence.

The stinging nettle helps me to remind myself of my own fertility, sexuality and life force energy of creation, yet in a very soft, playful and subtle way.

July 15th 2022, Rendeux, Belgium.

I’m nestling myself on a willow branch, next to a herd of cows and a big amount of female stinging nettles with gorgeous, droopy, flowering seeds.

When I take the time and space to find my own centre and tune in with the energy of the plant, I notice a growing awareness of my back and spine. It’s almost as if I become extra aware of my own bone structure on a much deeper level.

Could this be because the plant contains so much of the mineral silicium, which helps to strengthen and richen our bones ?

When I focus my attention and energy towards the seeds, I notice a growing awareness around my kidney area. The area where also the adrenal glands are located.

The adrenal glands regulate the cortisol levels in our bloodstream, which is responsible for our stress levels. Stinging nettle seeds work as an adaptogen, they regulate our level of cortisol in our blood.

Isn’t this amazing ?

Everything is intertwined and connected and the plants hold so much medicine and wisdom to heal our bodies.

Thank you stinging nettle, you are such a beautiful and wise teacher and I honor you deeply.

With Love,

Sharon
